Welcome to LiveProStudio! This guide will help you get started with professional live streaming and recording.
Installation
Getting LiveProStudio up and running is simple:
macOS Installation
- Download the latest version from our download page
- Open the .dmg file
- Drag LiveProStudio to your Applications folder
- Launch from Applications or Spotlight
- Sign in with your account credentials
Quick Start Guide
Get streaming in 5 minutes:
1. Launch and Sign In
Open LiveProStudio and sign in with your livepro.studio account. If you're on a free trial, your license will be automatically activated.
2. Set Your Canvas Resolution
In the bottom right corner, select your streaming resolution:
1280x720 (HD)- Good for most streams1920x1080 (Full HD)- High quality streams3840x2160 (4K)- Professional productions
3. Add Your First Source
Click the + button in the Sources panel and choose:
- iOS Camera - Connect your iPhone as a camera
- Display Capture - Capture your screen
- Window Capture - Capture specific windows
- Video File - Play video files
4. Arrange on Canvas
Use these controls to arrange your sources:
- Spacebar + Drag - Pan the canvas viewport
- Scroll Wheel - Zoom in and out (25% - 400%)
- Click & Drag Sources - Position sources on canvas
5. Start Streaming
Click "Start Streaming" in the bottom control bar. That's it!
System Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- macOS: 12.0 (Monterey) or later
- Processor: Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel i5
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 500 MB free space
- Internet: 5 Mbps upload for 1080p streaming
Recommended Requirements
- Processor: Apple M1 Pro or better
- RAM: 16 GB or more
- Internet: 10 Mbps upload for 4K streaming
Canvas Controls
The canvas is your workspace where you arrange all your sources. Master these controls for efficient workflow:
Navigation
- Spacebar + Mouse Drag - Pan the canvas around (just like OBS)
- Scroll Wheel - Zoom in/out
- Double-Click - Reset zoom to 100%
Zoom Levels
Available zoom levels: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 150%, 200%, 300%, 400%
iOS Camera Setup
Use your iPhone as a professional camera source with obs-ios camera plugin compatibility.
Setup Steps
- Download "OBS Camera" app from the iOS App Store
- Connect your iPhone and Mac to the same Wi-Fi network
- Open the OBS Camera app on your iPhone
- Note the IP address and port displayed
- In LiveProStudio, click + in Sources β iOS Camera
- Enter the IP address and port
- Click Connect
Camera Settings
- Resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K
- Frame Rate: 30fps or 60fps
- Quality: Low, Medium, High, Ultra
Scenes & Sources
What are Scenes?
Scenes are different layouts or configurations of sources. Think of them as different "views" for your streamβlike a main camera view, a screen share view, or a "be right back" view.
Creating Scenes
- Click + in the Scenes panel
- Name your scene (e.g., "Main Camera", "Screenshare")
- Add sources to the scene
- Arrange sources on the canvas
Switching Scenes
Click on any scene in the Scenes panel to switch to it instantly. Your stream will show the new scene.
Streaming Setup
Supported Platforms
- Twitch
- YouTube
- Facebook Live
- Custom RTMP servers
Configure Stream Settings
- Go to Settings β Stream
- Select your platform
- Enter your stream key (from platform)
- Choose quality preset
- Click Apply
Local Recording
Record your streams locally in high quality:
Recording Settings
- Format: MP4 (recommended), MOV, MKV
- Quality: Same as stream, High, Ultra
- Location: Choose where files are saved
Start Recording
Click "Start Recording" in the bottom control bar. The button will turn red while recording.

- Theme (Light/Dark)

- Auto-start on login
- Check for updates
Video Settings
- Base canvas resolution
- Output resolution
- FPS (30 or 60)
- Hardware acceleration
Troubleshooting
App Won't Launch
- Check you're running macOS 12.0 or later
- Try opening from Applications folder instead of Launchpad
- Check System Settings β Privacy & Security for blocking
- Restart your Mac and try again
Can't Connect to iOS Camera
- Verify both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Check the IP address is entered correctly
- Ensure OBS Camera app is running on iPhone
- Try restarting both devices
- Check firewall settings aren't blocking the connection
Stream Lag or Stuttering
- Lower your output resolution
- Reduce frame rate to 30fps
- Close other resource-intensive applications
- Check your internet upload speed
- Try using hardware encoding if available
License Issues
- Verify you're signed in with the correct account
- Check your subscription status at livepro.studio
- Try signing out and back in
- Contact support@livepro.studio if issues persist
